Welcome to the Family Ryan!

Lindsay was a real trooper!  After a very LONG labor and several HOURS of pushing, Ryan finally made his appearance!!  I really appreciated being able to be in the delivery room with them and Lindsay's mom Linda.  Very special!!!

Lindsay had been running a fever, and so when Ryan was born, he was as well.  As a precautionary measure, he was sent to the Special Care Nursery for 48 hours of antibiotics.  This was tough for Scott and Lindsay to not have Ryan in the room with them.  But, they made the best of the situation.  Dale, Jaime & Brent, and Loni & Chris drove up to visit him the first night.  He ended up being just fine and was able to go home on Sunday evening!  

A Mercedes? Seriously?

As you know, I have been a part of the Gold Canyon Candle Company for almost 14 years!   And it has been a huge blessing to me and to my family!!  When GC implemented a car program, it had to be Mercedes!  So, after my qualifying period, I earned a top of the line, GL 550 SUV!!!  I have to honestly say that I wasn't really that excited at first.  However, when I went to pick it up and I looked inside, I was blown away at how beautiful the wood was and I am a BELIEVER now!!!  What a luxury ride it is!!!

And I got to break it in quick!!!  After picking it up, I learned that Lindsay had gone into labor with Ryan and so I headed, that day, up to Flagstaff!!! 

 

A Shower to welcome Ryan!

We are so excited for Ryan Bradley Persons to make his appearance! 

In the meantime, the girls and I threw Lindsay a baby shower.   Ryan was blessed with most everything he needs to live comfortably!! 



A fun Snow Day!

The whole family decided to head up to Flagstaff to spend New Years with Scott and Lindsay.  So, during the day on New Year's Eve, we thought it would be fun to play in the snow.  Dale, Scott and Lindsay took a drive early in the morning to spot a place, since there hadn't been any new snow.  And all of the regular spots wouldn't work.  They found us a great spot that we had all to ourselves for a couple of hours before the crowds showed up!!
